One of the most delightful families in Hollywood are the Farrows—John Farrow, the director, his wife Maureen O’Sullivan, and their large family which now consists of four girls and three boys, although this photograph shows only six of them. They live in an unpretentious but roomy house in Beverly Hills, and the children have two nannies, one Irish, the other English. Maureen O’Sullivan married John Farrow in 1936 and retired, emerging to make an occasional film, recent ones including Bonzo Goes to College, and All I desire. Kathryn Grayson is seen here with her little daughter, Patricia Kathryn, who was bom in 1948. She lives in a home in Brentwood Hills, in which her particular treasure is a century-old organ, which stands in the entrance hall. She likes walking, cooking, playing golf and giving children's parties. Her more recent films include Lovely to Look At and Kiss Me Kate. Betty Hutton has two little daughters, Lindsay, bom in 1946, and Candice, bom in 1948. She enjoys being at home and makes jams and pies with triumphant success. Her latest appearances were in The Greatest Show on Earth and Somebody Loves Me, in which she was as dynamic and vital as ever. Gene Nelson, who is seen here with his wife and son, Alan Christopher, has been on the screen since 1947, an d was recently in Starlift and She’s Working Her Way Through College. Their close friends axe also dancers— Marge and Gower Champion. Doris Day is the popular and attractive singer who has won the plaudits of filmgoers in all the films she has made since It's Magic in 1949, to April in Paris this year. She was christened Doris Kappelhoff, and when she was engaged for her first professional singing job, she took her present name. She married Marty Melcher in 1951.
