Eva Bergh is the charming, unsophisticated star from Norway who paid her first visit to England to star with John Mills in The Long Memory. She is seen here with her husband, trying to play a game of bowls with a friend who obviously had more enthusiasm than ability for the game ! Gordon MacRae has been married to his wife, Sheila, for something like twelve years, and they have three children, two daughters, Meredith, bom in 1944, Heather, bom in 1947, an d a son, William Gordon, who was bom in 1949. They live in a modest, comfortable home in the San Fernando Valley. His recent films include By the Light of the Silvery Moon, and The Desert Song. Paul Douglas won the hearts of all who saw him in A Letter to Three Wives. He is a solid, muscular, six-footer who makes friends easily but is blunt in his disapproval of anyone he does not like. He is a creature of opposites. He likes a black car but drives a canary yellow one, adores colourful ties yet always wears dark ones. His recent films include When in Rome and Angels and the Pirates. Jan Sterling made her film bow in Johnny Belinda and was recently in Flesh and Fury, Sky Full of Moon, and Vanquished. Broderick Crawford is seen here with his adopted son, Christopher, bora in 1946 and known to everyone as Kim. Kelly, another son, was bom in 1951 to Broderick Crawford’s wife. Broderick Crawford began his career by being carried on to the stage at the age of eight months. His first film was Woman Chases Man, which we saw in 1937. He has appeared in nearly fifty films since then, including Remember That Face and The Dark Page. He lives in Encino, north of Hollywood, Deborah Kerr and her husband, Tony Bartley, live in a gracious house in the Pacific Palisades, in which you look at the Pacific Ocean through white sycamores, and which has a large terraced garden. Their daughter, Melanie, bora in 1947, had crossed the Atlantic five times by the time she was two and a half years old. Their second daughter, Francesca Ann, was bom in 1951. Deborah’s recent films are Quo Vadis, Dream Wife, Young Bess and Julius Caesar.
