Bernard Braden, Reg Dixon and Jean Carson in “ Love in Pawn." June Thorbum ROSEMARY CLOONEY is an exciting newcomer to the Paramount studio. Well known for her singing on gramophone records, her particu- lar hit being “ Come On-a My House,” she made her screen debut in The Stars Are Singing and was then cast for the Bob Hope film Here Come the Girls, and to star with Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire in White Christmas. Born on May 23rd, 1928, in Maysville, Kentucky, she has blonde hair (but wore it dark for Here Come the Girls), blue eyes, and is 5 feet 4 inches in height. JUNE THORBURN commenced her acting career in repertory and then made her West End of London stage debut in “ Red Letter Day." Her first film appearance was in The Pickwick Papers , following this she was cast as Doris Ferraby in The Cruel Sea. ALLYN McLERIE was born in Canada, but taken to New York when a baby. Trained in a ballet school, she made her stage debut in the chorus of a musical and then played important roles on Broadway. Rosemary Clooney She was with Ray Bolger in " Where’s Charley ? " and when the film version was made she was again his partner. Brown-haired with blue-grey eyes, she is 5 feet 5f inches tall. In Love in Pawn are three newcomers to the screen, two of them—BERNARD BRADEN and REG DIXON—making their film debut. The other is JEAN CARSON, who scored a great success in " Love From Judy ” on the London stage. Bom in Pudsey, Yorkshire, she was in a concert party at the age of fifteen, has played in pantomime and several West End shows. Reg Dixon, who was bom on February 24th, 1915, in Coventry, also commenced in a concert party. He played in variety and became famous on the air for his own ... particular brand of comedy. When George Form by had to leave the McLerie L° n ^ on musical show, " Zip Goes a Million,” Reg took over and made a great hit. Bernard Braden, the famous radio artiste, who came from Canada to this country with his wife, Barbara Kelly, has also played on the London stage. JUDITH AMES was playing the lead in a university play when discovered for the screen by a Paramount talent scout. After taking a screen test, she was given a long-term contract. When Worlds Collide was her first film, followed by an important role in Arrowhead. BRAD DEXTER was bora on April 9th, 1922, in Goldfield, Nevada. He came to the screen after stage and radio work. One inch over six feet in height, he has brown hair and blue eyes. While at college he excelled in running and boxing and could have become a professional boxer. Judith Ames Brad Dexter
