Audrey Hepburn also won an " Oscar ” in the American Academy of Motion Picture Aits and Sciences as the actress giving the best performance of the year in Roman Holiday. The “ Oscar ” for the best actor went to William Holden in Stalag iy, and for the best supporting actor and actress to Frank Sinatra and Donna Reed in From Here to Eternity.
