This delightful photograph shows the Rogers family at home, including Will Rogers himself, Mrs. Rogers, Mary, Jimmy and Will Jnr.. with Oklahoma', their dog. Above, right : Will Rogers, Jnr. in “ The Boy from Oklahoma," with Skippy Torgerson, Nancy Olson and Clem Bevans. Will Rogers Junior was born in 1912, when his father was beginning to find fame in the theatre. At Stanford University, he became editor of the “ Stanford Daily ” which made him decide that he wanted to become a newspaper man. This he did a few years later by buying and publishing the " Beverly Hills Citizen.” He had never had any ambition to become an actor, and in 1942 he turned down a request to play the role of his famous father in The Story of Will Rogers, to join the U.S. Army. When the war ended, he returned to his newspaper job until late in 1951, when at length he agreed to play his father in the picture. Young Harry Carey was bom at Harry Carey’s famous ranch in Saugus, California. Since he began acting his films have included Warpath, Thunder Across the Pacific, San Antone and Beneath the 12-Mile Reef. Tim Holt got his firsC introduction to acting when at fhe age of nine he portrayed his father. Jack Holt, as a child. His first important role, which he took at the age of seventeen, was that of Dick Grosvenor in Stella Dallas, which had set Douglas Fairbanks Jr. on the way to stardom twelve years before. In fact, when he broached the matter of entering films, Jack Holt said to him, " It’s a swell idea, son. We need at least one actor in the family.” Here are the two Holts—Jack Holt and Tim when he was to play in his father's next film, " The Enchanted Hill." Tim Holt as we have often seen him on the screen. Harry Carey and Randolph Scott between scenes of " Man of the Forest," which we saw in 1934. Harry Carey Jnr. is seen on the right as he appeared in “ Warpath."
