(Gaumont British) The Colonel of the Blank^hires (Cyril Maude) finds his barracks monopolised by an American film company headed by IVagger- meyer (James Gleason). Crofiin(Hay Plumb) and Slee (Eliot Makeham), two pri- vates who make a hash of film-acting. In circle : The Colonel s datightet Veronica (Jane Carr), becomes in- fatuated with the film's leading man, Dashwood (Raymond Mil- land), and snubs the colonel s adjutant (Ian Hunter). Trouble in the orderly-room-projection-theatre—left to right : Wanda, Wagger- meyer's assistant (Charlotte Greenwood). Waggermeyer, Zingbaum, the camera- man (Percy Parsons), and Daoey, the harassed scenario-writer (Donald Calthrop). Having abandoned the idea of making the film deal with the British Army, or Guy Fawkes, and induced the Colonel to appear in the Foreign Legion film finally decided upon, a telegram announces the arrival of the Brigadier, who puts an end to the whole proceedings, and order is restored.
