BEACH BEAUTIES REVEAL A SECRET Girls, faint heart and hefty appetite will never get you into shape like the beautiful beach bunnies in American International’s new color and Panavision musical comedy “Beach Blanket Bingo” coming soon to local theaters. Following a deluge of letters from beach gang fans asking how beauties such as Linda Opie, Salli Sachse, Mary Hughes and Patti Chandler have managed to maintain their amazing vital statistics from “Beach Party” to “Bikini Beach” to “Pajama Party” in the AIP series of teenage films, studio officials have revealed the facts. The beach bunnies eat mainly lettuce. Blonde Linda (35-22-35) and brunette Salli (35-23-36), known to cast and crew of the AIP pictures as The Bookends, subsist almost entirely on lobster or steak and lettuce, exercising only at playing teanis and swimming. Tall, tanned Mary Hughes (36-2235) can make a meal on Caesar salad. And when she eats meat or fish she prefers both nearly raw —a sirloin simmered a few seconds in oil or fish dipped briefly in hot water. Patti (35-22-35) is the lone consistent meat eater, prefering a rare steak with her lettuce leaves. Others of the AIP ‘Beach Blanket Bingo” brace of beauties are in almost unanimous agreement that lettuce is their favorite food. Their only dangerous indulgence, they say, is roquefort dressing. RARE FLYING MACHINE OVERHEAD IN “BINGO” One of the only two blimps left in the Western hemisphere, Goodyear’s familiar airship Columbia, is seen in an important sequence in American International’s ‘Beach Blanket Bingo’”’ which opens .................. at. the S225 Steere ere ae Theatre.
