SYNOPSIS Guido, Black mob tough from Detroit, heads to L.A. to set a big trade of munitions for drugs. He employs small-time crooks Fay and Ziggy to rip off a securities messenger, which will give him the dollars to get the munitions. Following this caper is Black cop Kicks Carter, and his partner Tony. When Tony is killed in a spectacular car chase and crash, Kicks closes in. With the aid of Stephanie, a sexy, Black TV news gal, Kicks and Stephanie get it on in bed before Kicks calls for help from Alphonse, his Black undercover ghetto contact. Alphonse sets up a phoney munitions transfer with Guido in the desert. Kicks and his men bust Fay’s operations, and Kicks takes Ziggy on hand to hand in a big fight in a car junkyard where Ziggy is violently killed. The munitions transfer is set in the desert as Kicks and his men prepare to take on Guido and his hoods. In a big car chase and desert shoot-out, Kicks knocks out Guido’s gang as Guido escapes in his plane. From some well-placed shots by Kicks, he hits the plane igniting the explosives in it and blowing Guido to smithereens. JOHN R. D’AMATO TOP PERFORMERS IN NEW ACTION FILM Heading the cast of the new Black Gangland expose, “BLACK HEAT,” is Timothy Brown, currently moving to the top in the film world and fresh from a starring role in Paramount's “NASHVILLE.” Brown has also recently been seen in “STUD BROWN,” -“THE ABDUCTORS,” “BONNIE’S KIDS” and countless network TV shows. He is now being groomed for the starring role in a network TV series. Russ Tamblyn is no screen newcomer. As the youthful star of countless MGM musicals hom Seven. “Umives FOR) SEVEN BROTHERS” to “TOM THUMB,” he quickly hit the top in his starring role in the screen version of “WEST SIDE STORY.” A versatile actor, he has performed equally at home in tough dramatic portrayals as well as musical roles. In “BLACK HEAT” he plays the role of the lead-heavy Ziggy, a violent and sadistic man who comes to a rough end at the hands of rugged Tim Brown. Rounding out the cast of “BLACK HEAT” are top performers from the current film scene. Jana Bellan, recently the co-star of AIP’s “SIX PACK ANNIE” is a new attractive actress who is victimized by the gang in this picture. Geoffrey Land, currently starring with Richard Boone in “AGAINST A CROOKED SKY,” plays a tough cop who's killed in a spectacular car crash. Regina Carrol can currently be seen in “JESSI’S GIRLS” and “BLAZING STEWARDESSES” and does an_ outstanding dramatic job in this new picture. However, new Black star, Tanya Boyd, turns out to be one of “BLACK HEAT’’s standout performers. Her sultry appeal and easy charm have recently crashed the scene as the star of “BLACK SHAMPOO” and previewed audiences have been quick to pick her out as a sure bet to watch.
