THE STOR
(Not for Publication) Georgina—Georgy—is a gawky, soft-hearted, badly-dressed young woman who clowns and wise-cracks to cover her emotional inadequacies, and to hide her envy of the casual love affairs engaged in by her London roommate, Meredith. When Jos, Meredith's current boy friend, stays for the night, Georgy goes off to the large house where her parents are domestics employed by James Leamington, prosperous, childless and widowed business man who has watched Georgy grow up and has long ago stopped thinking of her as a "daughter." Meredith finds herself pregnant; she weds Jos, who moves in with the two girls. Georgy is radiant over the baby; Meredith, who couldn't care less, rejects both the child and Jos. Now that she has a baby to care for, Georgy has no need for a love affair; she also rejects Jos. James finally proposes marriage and is accepted by Georgy; the baby goes along on their honeymoon to James’ wry discomfort and Georgy's obvious delight. Running Time: 100 Minutes
