Linen handkerchiefs, inexpensive ones, are a natural for use in various exploitation stunts in behalf of ''Interlude."" Use them at the theatre as an opening-day giveaway, on the street as a giveaway bally, and as gifts to your newspaper, TV/radio contacts. Accompanying copy should read: The New York Daily News says: “GET HANKIES READY FOR ‘INTERLUDE’! ‘Interlude’ is the kind of picture that gives women a good cry.” BATH SCENE Still No. 32, a scene from "Interlude,"’ shows Barbara Ferris bathing. Stills of feminine stars in similar bath scenes, from other pictures, may be obtained from National Screen Service or from your own or newspaper files. Work with a newspaper on an identification contest, keyed to numbered reprints of such stills, or use them in theatre lobby. Contestants identify both stars and films in which they appeared in bath sequences. THE MUSIC Colgems Records is releasing the soundtrack album for "'Interlude," and a Timi Yuro single of the film's theme is being released by Liberty Records (the title song sung by Timi Yuro also is contained in the soundtrack album). The same approach may be adapted and used by stores elsewhere, with merchandise in stock. Alexander's devoted four of their 59th street windows to the promotion, using large blow-ups and credit cards. Rack cards highlighting the "Fashion Interlude" theme were displayed throughout the store and 20,000 "Interlude" heralds distributed in fashion-oriented departments. Soundtrack music was played in the store's Tomorrow Shop and there also was a full-scale record promotion keyed to the soundtrack album. ‘INTERLUDE’ SELLING AIDS Radio Interviews OL OO LO LO OAPI Pe Teaser Trailer OSKAR WERNER!
