Trampolines
A battery of trampolines—some 30 of them —figure prominently in a Chicago lakefront scene in "Mickey One," with Warren Beatty and Alexandra Stewart also shown using one. Care should be taken in the use of a trampoline for promotion purposes — only a truly competent trampolinist should be used—but a promoted device might be employed effectively ...in front of your theatre or atop your marquee ... in a nearby vacant lot or parking space ... on television .. . in a gymnasium or playground . . . in a store selling trampolines ... ona flatbed truck bannered with your message.

Trampolines used in the film are manufactured by Nissen Corp., 930 27th Ave., S.W.., Cedar Rapids, lowa. Local Nissen dealers may be interested in joining your promotion!

Glamorous Donna Michelle, featured in "Mickey One," was selected Playmate of the Month by Playboy Magazine and later as Playmate of the Year in two issues of the popular magazine. Tear out the eyecatching pages, post them with picture credits and spot in front of the theatre.

Explosive Art
One of the scenes in "Mickey One" shows a spectacular, self-destroying mechanical structure, a work of art some 30 feet long and 10 feet high. This mobile, made of nothing but junk, swings into memorable action once it has been plugged-in, and its activity does not terminate until the fireworks and gun powder which are a part of it, in the film, are set off. Local art galleries or art instructors might be able to put you in touch with a sculptor or artist interested in metal work and mobiles, and capable of building such a construction for you on a vacant lot in or near town. Still Nos. 43, 70, 80 and 81 are only indications of what might be accomplished; be sure of news and TV coverage!
Polish-Americans
Warren Beatty's name in the picture is Mickey One, an Americanization of a hardto-pronounce Polish name. The fact he plays a Polish-American, and that there are other Polish characters in the film, offers a reason for directing publicity to the Polish community in your city. Call attention to it in any Polish newspaper or on any foreign-language broadcasts, and plug the picture with posters in night spots where people of Polish descent gather.
Local Interviews
Warren Beatty turns hobo in early scenes of "Mickey One," riding the rods or boxcars from one town to another in his flight from the mob. Work with a radio or television personality, or a local newspaper columnist, in a search for people who have similarly ridden the rods. They should have some interesting stories to tell.

‘One’ Stunts
The number "One" in the film title can be used for several simple exploitation stunts and contests to publicize picture and playdate. Work the following:
e Try for a newspaper contest with the classified advertising manager, with readers sending in pages on which all the words "One" are circled in red. Those finding the most in the want ads daily win guest tickets.
° Disc jockey contest with guest tickets going to those persons who write ''one''—or "Mickey One"— the most times on a postcard. To make judging simpler, ask that the total count also be written in lowerleft hand corner on address side of card.
e Guest-admit all persons showing up at | P.M. daily, who can prove their addresses include the single house number "One".
Star Families
The fact that Warren Beatty and his sister Shirley MacLaine are both stars in motion pictures might cue a radio promotion in which listeners are asked to send in postcards naming other brother-sister star duos. Here's a partial listing of the more prominent pairings.
Peter and Jane Fonda Marlon and Jocelyn Brando John and Ethel Barrymore
Provide a number of guest admissions to the picture as prizes for those sending in the greatest number of brother-sister combinations.
