Theatre in color by Technicolor. Co-starred in the Columbia Pictures release are James Gregory and Beverly Adams. Dino, Desi and Billy, the music world’s newest swinging and singing sensations, are introduced in the spy spectacular, and a dozen beautiful “Slaygirls” are featured in the derring-do action. Henry Levin directed from a screenplay by Herbert Baker. Irving Allen produced the Meadway-Claude Picture, an Irving Allen production with music by Lalo Schifrin. =< Ann-Margret Not so long ago, during an Academy Award telecast, a long-legged, redheaded female dynamo took 50 million TV viewers by storm while singing a nominated tune, “Bachelor’s Paradise.” There was no question about it, here was a brandnew star. And she was. Her name: Ann-Margret. Now, five short years later, AnnMargret is co-starred with Dean Martin in the newest of the Matt Helm espionage motion picture adventures, “Murderers’ Row,” at the ......... Theatre. The Columbia Pictures release also stars Karl Malden and Camilla Sparv and co-stars James Gregory and Beverly Adams. The Irving Allen production is in color by Technicolor. A native of Sweden, Ann-Margret moved with her family to the U. S. where they took up residence in Wilmette, Ill. When she was only six, AnnMargret already was demonstrating a remarkable talent for ballet and she was performing solo recitals at which she combined singing with her dancing. After attending Northwestern University for a year, where she polished her talents in campus musicals, AnnMargret joined a group of fellow students who tried to break into show business in Las Vegas. The attempt failed and Ann-Margret decided to give Hollywood a fling. She won an audition with George Burns who hired her immediately to join his act in Las Vegas. There, in the city where she had first failed to make the grade, AnnMargret was a sensation. She was signed to a studio contract and, within days, was contracted by RCA Victor as well; the Ann-Margret bandwagon has never stopped rolling. Her first motion picture was Frank Capra’s “Pocket Full of Miracles,” which she followed shortly after with “State Fair.” Then came the Academy Award Show of 1961. The budding promise of that night became fact in Ann-Margret’s next motion picture, Columbia’s “Bye Bye Birdie.” She has since been seen in “Viva Las Vegas,” “Kitten with a Whip,” “Bus Riley’s Back in Town,” “Stagecoach,” “The Pleasure Seekers,” “The Cincinnati Kid” and “The Swinger.” “Murderers’ Row” introduces to the screen Hollywood’s hottest swinging and singing trio, Dino, Desi and Billy, and features the “Slaygirls.’’ Herbert Baker’s screenplay is based on the novel ‘by Donald Hamilton. Henry Levin directed the Meadway-Claude picture. Irving Allen produced, and Lalo Schifrin wrote the music for “Murderers’ Row.” Page 14 Mat 3A; Still No. 30 Dean Martin as Matt Helm poses with the 12 calendar "'Slaygirls" featured in his second spy-adventure, ‘Murderers’ Row," Columbia Pictures release in color by Technicolor. Standing with Martin is co-star Beverly Adams, who plays Lovey Kravezit, his very private secretary. Also starred are AnnMargret, Karl Malden and Camilla Sparv. Dean Martin Dean Martin, the show business phenomenon, keeps rolling on, straddling every phase of the entertainment industry from record-breaking motion pictures, television and recordings to record-breaking personal appearances. Martin is one of the most deceptive of talents. In contrast to the many hard-working entertainers who equate talent with the excessive expenditure of energy, Dean’s style is casual, seemingly effortless—yet completely professional. Small wonder then that Martin was tapped by producer Irving Allen to play the plum role of Matt Helm, in “The Silencers,” repeating in “Murderers’ Row,” the Columbia Pictures’ release at the ....... Theatre in color by Technicolor, Dean toplines a cast that also includes stars Ann-Margret, Karl Malden and Camilla Sparv, and co-stars James Gregory and Beverly Adams who returns as Lovey Kravezit, the superspy’s very private secretary. Martin and Jerry Lewis first teamed when they were at Atlantic City’s 500 Club, the night the club owner found himself minus an act. Their first assault on an audience’s funny bone as a team failed and they set about putting together an act on paper. This, too, failed to catch on, Desperate, the next night, the boys ad-libbed. As Dean sang, Lewis went through a succession of wild antics. The audience loved it. Eight years and 17 pictures later, the team of Martin & Lewis was dissolved and Martin went on, as a single, to continue making entertainment history. Dean surprised Hollywood when he took a straight role in “The Young Lions,” with such stars as Marlon Brando and the late Montgomery Clift. “Murderers’ Row” introduces to the screen the sensational new swinging and singing act of Dino, Desi and Billy and it features the kiss-and-kill “Slaygirls.” Henry Levin has directed the Meadway-Claude picture from Herbert Baker’s screenplay, based on Donald Hamilton’s novel. Lalo Schifrin contributed the music for the Irving Allen production. Review Dean Martin played Matt Helm, the relaxed, girl-attracting, ever-resourceful counter-espionage agent, to joyous perfection in “The Silencers.” Now, happily, he’s back as Matt Helm, in “Murderers’ Row,” filmed in color by Technicolor. “Murderers’ Row,” at the creepers Theatre, is more of the same fun and games, a comedy of those super, men, the secret agents, with their matchless aplomb. Dean Martin’s selfmocking, surefire attitude raises the entertainment quotient of ‘Murderers’ Row” even higher than that of “The Silencers.” Yesterday’s audience was happily laughing itself to death at the same time it was being scared out of a year’s growth by the suspenseful dolings, and we predict today’s audiences will be equally enthralled. This time out, Dean has ravishing Ann-Margret, who has been a name to reckon with ever since her smashing success in “Bye Bye Birdie,” who sets a sizzling and frenzied pace in both the dance and romance departments. Her show-stopping routines in a French Riviera discotheque bedazzles; her “mod” fashions are something for the book and, when Martin meets AnnMargret in man-to-woman “combat,” then the resultant chemistry deserves an equation all its own! Probably never before has Dean Martin had a more felicitious screen partner. In “Murderers’ Row,” Dean again is the playboy-photographer who returns to the rigorous life of a secret agent. His opponent now is Karl Malden, who is about to bend to his will the one scientist with expertise enough to reduce the world to smithereens. Armed with an array of outrageous scientific gimmicks and super-agent gadgetry, Martin “operates” in the United States, England and France to prove he’s still a tough man in a tussle... with a blonde or a bomb-thrower! Camilla Sparv is starred as a statuesque and sexy femme fatale and from “The Silencers” come James Gregory, as Dean’s boss, and Beverly Adams, Dean’s very private secretary. Hollywood’s new swinging and singing act, Dino, Desi and Billy, make their motion picture debut in “Murderers’ Row” and the “Slaygirls,”’ those kiss-or-kill girls, are back to tempt Dean in greater profusion than ever. A Meadway-Claude picture for Columbia Pictures release, this delightful new Matt Helm escapade was written for the screen by Herbert Baker, based on the novel by Donald Hamilton. Beverly Adams Beverly Adams won considerable fame as super-spy Matt Helm’s very private secretary in “The Silencers,” and she is co-starred again as Lovey Kravezit in ‘Murderers’ Row,” the further screen adventures of America’s indomitable top counter-spy. Starring Dean Martin as Matt Helm, Ann-Margret, Karl Malden and Camilla Sparv, the tongue-in-cheek espionage thriller atthe te cok Theatre in color by Technicolor also stars James Gregory and Miss Adams, introduces Dino, Desi and Billy and features the “Slaygirls.” In another spy film, “Kiss the Girls and Make Them Die,” Miss Adams is not so lucky, succumbing to the occupational hazard faced by many undercover boys and girls. In “Murderers’ Row,” however, she has a more felicitous role, helping Matt Helm in his “cover” career as a magazine photographer, Miss Adams is an attractive, green eyed brunette, a former magazine cover girl. An only child, she was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, but was raised and educated in the U. S. After dwelling in Illinois, the family settled in Burbank, California, which Beverly now calls her home. Before turning actress, Miss Adams served as legal secretary in the office of a California judge after attending Valley State College in that state. She was serving as a hostess at a teenage fair when she was spotted by a talent agent who landed her a leading role in an “Ozzie and Harriet” show. Miss Adams soon found herself playing other TV roles in episodes of “Burke’s Law,” “My Three Sons,” Channing,” “The Red Skelton Show,” “Dr. Kildare” and other video series. After numerous appearances as a nurse on “Dr. Kildare,” Beverly appeared in her first big-screen role in, (naturally!) “The NEW Interns.” General Advance Dean Martin, once again playing counter-espionage agent Matt Helm who exuded such “cool” in “The Silencers,” teams up with sizzling AnnMargret, for the fun team of the year in “Murderers’ Row,” second of the widely-read Donald Hamilton novels to reach the screen of the ...... Theatre Stantiagimonr assess Karl Malden and Camilla Sparv are also starred in the new thriller-diller that co-stars James Gregory and Beverly Adams. “Murderers’ Row” is a Columbia Pictures release. Irving Allen produced the film, in color by Technicolor. Dean Martin as Matt Helm reportedly is up to his old tricks and a lot of new ones as well. He’s a very human super-sleuth who can’t resist the pleasures of this world even when the old globe is on the verge of being blown up. That’s the particular brand of hanky-panky resorted to by Helm’s opposition, a terror ring which holds an internationally-renowned scientist and seeks to force him to make mincemeat of most of the world! Of course, this is just the starting point for what is said to be a jet-propelled super-thriller that dizzily veers back and forth between mayhem and merriment, as well as the United States, England and France. Lovely Ann-Margret helps Martin battle heavy Karl Malden. Camilla Sparv, formerly a top fashion model, is cast as a sexily statuesque femme fatale. James Gregory again plays Martin’s diffident boss and Beverly Adams returns as Lovey Kravezit, Dean Martin’s very private secretary. Hollywood’s sensational new singing trio, Dino, Desi and Billy, make their motion picture debut in the Columbia release, and there are 12 beautiful “slaygirls.” Henry Levin directed the MeadwayClaude picture penned for the screen by Herbert Baker from the novel by Donald Hamilton. Irving Allen produced the new Matt Helm adventure, while Lalo Schifrin supplied the music.
