Here's how the plan works: Any theatre manager who can arrange an opening night benefit sell-out and subsequent benefit sell-out performances, will receive from Columbia Pictures the equivalent of 10% of the net sale from such sell-out performances. For example: A 1,000-seat theatre, having $1.00 admission as its established price, would offer an organization a 20% discount on the purchase of the theatre's capacity. The organization would pay $800 for $1,000 worth of tickets.
