The May issue of “‘Harper’s Bazaar” carries a stunning six-page black and white section showing five sportswear outfits designed for Saks by famed designer Lynn Stuart, photographed against Big Sur backgrounds as seen in the film. Editorial backing is being given the promotion by “Harper’s” with four pages in the June issue showing additional clothes from the promotion titled “The Sandpiper Splash”’ and another page in the July issue to sustain the promotion through opening dates. The Saks stores are planning window displays, in-store displays, mounted ads in elevators, publicity photographs of additional clothes in the promotion for newspaper coverage, etc. Your MGM Fieldman will be working directly with Saks; contact him for information regarding this promotion.
