BALLYHOO WITH USED-CAR DEALERS
Used car dealers are anxious for any kind of stunt that will help them sell their product in these days when prospective buyers are hesitating because of rubber priorities, rationing, etc. Suggest to them that they co-operate in staging a used car parade led by a cowboy on horseback. Banner should read:
FOR A SCREEN THRILL — See Tom Keene Ride the Range on His Wonder Horse, “Prince,” in “Ari
zona Roundup” at the Palace
Theatre.
FOR A RIDING THRILL — Try Driving One of Our Guaranteed Reconditioned Used Cars!
If the dealers are tough to sell on the parade, try for window displays, using a Tom Keene cut-out in conjuncticn with a used car. The same copy will serve.

SLOGAN HUNT WILL HELP SELL ‘‘PRINCE,’’ TOM’S NEW HORSE!
A strong publicity campaign has been initiated by Monogram to introduce “Prince,” who will be seen as Tom Keene’s mount in all his future pictures. Already Tom's fan mail is beginning to testify to the fan’s admiration of this fine animal. Cash in on this news angle and get extra business for “Arizona Roundup” with a contest to coin a “catchline” for “Prince.”” Examples are “King of the Horses,” “Pride of the Range,” “Wonder Horse,” etc.
All western fans are advised to see “Arizona Roundup” so that they'll have a chance to get acquainted with “Prince's” intelligence, speed and fine looks. They submit their slogan suggestions to the theatre and the best ones receive passes to the next Tom Keene hit to play there. Suggestions should be forwarded to Tom at the Monogram Studio.
YOU'LL GET LOTS OF USE FROM THIS SOCK 3-SHEET CUT-OUT
The vivid three-sheet on the first of the Tom Keene series, “Wanderers of the West,” was especially designed to provide a large, attractive cut-out of the popular star that could be used on ALL his pictures. Brilliantly colored, this powerful likeness of the cowboy here with gun in hand can be used with an easel back fcr an advance display in your inner lobby and then moved out front during the run of the picture. It’s a great bet, too, for use atop the marquee. It will be doubly effective up there at night illuminated by a baby spotlight with “blinker” attachment.

Remember! To build this cut-out, be sure to order the 3-sheet on “WANDERERS OF THE WEST,” which carries the illustration shown at the left. Then simply strip in at the bottom the title, “ARIZONA ROUNDUP.”

USE SUGAR DAWN TO BUILD FEMME INTEREST FOR WESTERN FILMS!
With Sugar Dawn developing a greater following with each new appearance in a Tom Keene picture and also drawing crowds with personal appearance tours, showmen have an excellent opportunity to put over these westerns to the feminine moviegoers. This type picture as a rule draws more
heavily from the male ticket buyers than the fair sex. (This applies to children as well as adults.)
Sugar Dawn is a cute ten-year-old miss with lots of personality and outstanding riding ability. There are lots of good stills you can plant in department stores and other shops which handle feminine riding habits or children’s outdoor toggery. Also plant the youngster’'s photos in riding academies.
You might try to have the Brownies, Campfire Girls or any local organization elect her an honorary member of their group, sending Sugar a letter informing her of the honor. The note should be addressed to the attention of the Monogram publicity department.
In addition te the Sugar Dawn stills in the regular exchange set, a larger assortment may be ordered from the Monogram Exploitation Department, 4376 Sunset Drive. Sugar and her spirited little mount, “Chiquita,” will really give you a strong attraction to supplement Tom Keene’s draw.
