Bob Steele are featured as a trio of crusading cowboys, and this popular group have never been seen to better advantage. Ian Kieth is outstanding in a villainous role, and others in the cast who do good work are Myrna Dell, Don Stewart, Charlie Murray, Jr., Karl Hackett, George Chesebro, Charles King, Dan White and Frank Ellis. These constitute an exceptionally able cast of westerners.

As both producer and_ director, Robert Tansey has turned out a thoroughly satisfying picture in “Arizona Whirlwind,” with all the elements of popular appeal to western fans. The original screenplay by Frances Kavanaugh is the basis of an absorbing film, and the photography of Edward Kull is excellent.

HERE'S THE THRILLING STORY

The stagecoach running to Sonora has been set upon by Indians, and the Trail Blazers, Ken Maynard, Hoot Gibson and Bob Steele, manage to beat off the attackers and bring it into the relay station. Bob drives the stagecoach from the station to Sonora, and is again pounced upon by a band of outlaws. The Trail Blazers realize there is something of importance on the stagecoach, and search it, but find nothing. Lockwood, of the telegraph department, has been sent to Sonora to run in a line, and the Trail Blazers, to conceal their identity, take on jobs as linemen with him. Lynch, head of the local bank, and a gang of henchmen are working a counterfeiting racket of which Polini is the head, and the Trail Blazers are looking for the latter. The gangsters are ordered to do away with the Trail Blazers. Donny, a small boy and friend of the cowboys, and Ruth, who has come home from her teaching job, watch Lynch and the members of his gang hide counterfeit plates in a vault, as Bob rides
off to warn Ken and Hoot of impending danger.
Donny
enters to get them. Ruth sees Lynch lock the door on the boy, rushes to the telegraph station and manages to get in touch with the Trail Blazers, who overcome their pursuers and make a dash for town. A gun battle ensues, and Ken finally gets the sate open just in time to rescue Donny from suffocation. Polini and the gang are apprehended.
