Luscious models and glimpses of the fashion art-industry lift into the “must” class this fascinating ‘““who-done-it.” Models are found among both the victims and the suspects, with the fate of a famous house of style hanging in the balance. The story, involving various fashionable goings-on, concerns the theft of an immensely valuable brooch. When Robert Lowery, as stock boy for Mme. Celeste, is accused of the murder, his modelsweetheart, Marjorie Weaver, sets about the. difficult task of proving his innocence. To do this, she has to find the true murderer. In her search, she runs into situations as tense aS any ever portrayed on the screen. An: unfaithful husband and blackmail enter into the plot, leading the detcctive-minded members of the audience along some false trails. The solution is a surprise snapper—and comes just in time to save the model-heroine’s life. Gasp-creating styles are part of the story, as supervised by associate producer Wm. Strohbach. William Baudine directed from the screenplay of Tim Ryan and Victor Hammond, based on _ Victor Hammond’s original story.
