Another Rip-Roarin’ Pip of a Western Adventure! Produced and Directed by ROBERT TANSEY Screenplay by FRANCES KAVANAUGH Original Story by ALVIN NEITZ MONOGRAM PICTURE Suspense, Action Combined In Thrilling Western Film (Review) A thrilling atmosphere p ervades “Outlaw Trail,’ the Monogram “Trail Blazers” western drama which opened an engagement at the .. theatre last night. Though there is much fast action in the film, a definite air of sus pense is maintained throughout its length. Hoot Gibson, Bob Steele and Chief¥ SS Thundercloud play the featured roles in this unusual story of the western frontier, as a trio of crusading cowboys sent into a western town in an attempt to clear out the renegades who are in control of the community. Much of the action is literally hair-raising, as the forces of law and order engage in a continuous battle with the outlaw band. The three cowboys are excellent as a hard-riding, forthright group, | and the supporting cast is uniformly good. Jennifer Holt is seen in the leading feminine role, and others in the cast are Cy Kendall, Rocky Camron, Jim Thorpe, George Eldridge, Charles King, Hal Price, John Bridges and Bud Osborne. Robert Tansey, as producer and director, has contributed important ly to the success of “Outlaw Trail,” | with a deft combination of action and suspense in a thoroughly substantial production. Also entitled to a share of the credit is the ingenious screenplay of Frances Kavanaugh, adapted from an original story by Alvin Neitz.
