DISC JOCKEY COOPERATION Sinatra is an old favorite with djs. You should find it easy to get coopation and enthusiasm on all Sinatra stunts and contests. e Get a dj to “Salute Sinatra” for a twenty-four hour period playing nothing but Sinatra records. The dj can broadcast from the lobby of your theatre ‘round the clock. e Listeners should write in a post card with their name and address for a drawing in order to win the latest Sinatra single or album and free passes. e Have the dj play a Sinatra record from one of his films. The first listener to call in and correctly identify the movie the song is from wins a pass. SINATRA MOVIE STILL CONTEST Interest a television personality or your amusement editor in running a contest where people identify stills from Sinatra's pictures in order to win passes and promoted prizes. Have them use one still a day in order to prolong the contest and build up interest. She can deliver your publicity material to newspapers. She can also ride a promoted craft (on wheels) behind a tow car and throw heralds to the crowds. Enlist the aid of a local television personality who can get the girls shown on local TV screens so viewers can write in their votes. PORTHOLE PEEP HOLE Make up a rear-view projection box for your theatre lobby using the TV trailers. Passers-by can look in via a porthole which promises action and adventure on exterior copy. FREE TRIP ON LOCAL LUXURY LINER If you are located on a bay, or near a river or lake where there are steamboats, excursions, and tourist trips, arrange for free trips for lucky ticket holders or contest winners. A charity or organization that ties in for your opening night local premiere might want to hold a gala dinner-dance on the boat in connection with your opening. LUGGAGE CONTEST Contact a local luggage retailer who will donate a new set of luggage in return for lobby copy and mention on the radio. Interest dj in announcing that a beautiful set of new luggage is in your lobby. Patrons are invited fo lift the luggage and guess what is inside. At the conclusion of your playdate, dj will announce the contents. Most correct guesser wins the luggage. Runners up win guest tickets to your next showing. DRESS UP THEATRE FACADE The stills for “ASSAULT ON THE QUEEN” capture the excitement and high adventure of the film.
