RocK-A-BYE BABY CAPSULE SYNOPSIS Clayton Poole is a small town TV repairman who is still in love with his former hometown sweetheart, Carla Naples, who is now a famous movie queen. When Carla becomes pregnant due to a hasty Mexican marriage which she completely forgot about, her studio tells her that a baby might ruin her career. She turns to Clayton, the only person she can trust, and he agrees to care for the baby when it is born. On delivery day at the hospital, Carla gives birth to triplets, and Clayton finds he must get married in order to adopt them. He marries Carla’s younger sister, Sandy, who has always loved Clayton. Then the press learns of Carla’s triplets, and Carla tells reporters that she is secretly married to Clayton. Perplexed over his two wives and three children, Clayton goes into hiding. John Paul Steckler VII is in trouble with the Navy brass. After VJ Day he lost a destroyer, the U.S.S. Kornblatt, and now he must find it. Steckler can’t remember what happened to it, but under psychoanalysis he reveals clues that involve former Chief Petty Officer Wychinski, who was on the Kornblatt with Steckler. Wychinski is summoned and he says that the Kornblatt was used as a floating target by the Navy and_ sunk. Steckler and Wychinski have to undertake a deep-sea diving expedition to locate the Kornblatt. Their mission is a hilarious success, and both men are afterwards proclaimed heroes.
