INGENIOUS CROSS-WORD PUZZLE
The cross-word puzzle (Mat 3X) is an ideal and refreshing item that should be included in your over-all promotion campaign for “The Ten Commandments.” It is fairly simple and can be made available for use as an adult or teen-age feature for newspapers, weeklies and might be of interest to school and church newspapers and newsletters. Please note that along with the puzzle you must supply the definitions and a copy of the solution, which can be printed elsewhere in the same issue or in the following issue.
Order Mat 3X from your local branch of National Screen Service.

‘MOSES and EGYPT’ BOOK PEGS SPECIAL PROMOTION
The many years of exhaustive research which contribute to the greatness of Cecil B. DeMille’s production, ‘‘The Ten Commandments,’ are authenticated and documented in Henry D. Noerdlinger’s book, ‘‘Moses and Egypt’’ published by the University of Southern California Press. It carries an introduction by Cecil B. DeMille, who has commented that “‘this research only serves to affirm rather than contradict the Bible itself.’’
Noerdlinger, who was research consultant from 1945, worked on “The Ten Commandments’’ material for four years. The publication of the book marked the first time that research for a film was compiled in book form and came about as the result of numerous requests of DeMille by clergy and educators.
‘‘Moses and Egypt’’ won the unusual accolade of a citation by The Saturday Review, which views it as a leading religious book for laymen, and it was listed as “pick of the paperbacks’’ in the religious field.
In the past, copies of the book have been used as gifts to clergymen, educators and opinion-makers, and still should be a valuable adjunct to your campaign. Additional copies can be obtained from bookstores or by mail directly from University of Southern California Bookstore, University Park, Los Angeles, California 90007.
