Cecil B. DeMilles PRODUCTION Ghe Gen Commandments Cecil B. DeMille’s film dramatization of ‘‘The Ten Commandments’’ brings to life the story of Moses from the time he is taken from the Nile by the Pharoah’s own daughter until he leads the Hebrews to the Land of Promise. The Paramount picture, filmed in part at authentic biblical sitesin Egypt, includes such memorable scenes as the Burning Bush, the construction of the Pharoah’s treasure city, the plagues visited on Egypt, the Red Sea passage, Moses receiving the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai, and the barbaric dance before the Golden Calf. The film is a majestic presentation of mankind’ s march toward freedom.. re by HOWARD L. HURWITZ, PH. D. Vice-Principal, Jamaica High School (N.Y.) Teacher-Editor. Senior Scholastic (1946-62)
