Rocky’s principal concern, however, is his glamazon girl friend Adrienne (Joan Tabor). Bobby’s big hobby is music. He has a large record collection and he also sings, plays the guitar and composes songs. Aunt Theo gives him the job of selecting the records played on a radio station which he owns. There he meets Bambi (Diane Jergens) and they immediately “dig” each other, but Rocky tries to discourage the romance because Aunt Theo feels that Desidieria (Eileen O'Neil) is the right girl for him. One day, heavily disguised, Bobby cuts a demonstration record of one of his own songs, “Green Light.” When talent scout Sheldon Vale (Sid Gould) hears it he is greatly impressed, as is Bambi, but no one can find out who the vocalist really is. At a dance Bambi plays “Green Light,” which she has taken from the station’s record file, and it is a solid hit. Days later she confronts Bobby with her knowledge that he is the vocalist, but he asks her to keep it a secret to appease his aunt. She calls him a spoiled brat with a bodyguard, and runs away crying. When Bobby subsequently announces that he has been drafted, Aunt Theo tosses him a big going away party, at which he and Bambi are reconciled. They know that he will be 21 when he comes out of the army, and his own boss.
