FREE Teaser Trailer A teaser trailer that tantalizingly introduces the audience to various “characters” in “The Group” does a real sweet bit of advance selling on this one. Not only is this a beaut for your own theatre but it will do an excellent job at cross-plugging for you at co-operating or associated theatres. Get this one early; look at it carefully to see what it can and will do for you and then—let it! Your FREE print is available now at National Screen Service REGULAR TRAILER In addition to the Teaser Trailer mentioned above, there is a real whizz of a Theatrical Trailer ready to do a bang-up followthrough selling job on “The Group.” All the important selling elements of the advertising campaign are emphasized in selected scenes of this trailer. Order your print early and start showing it with the Teaser. Available now at National Screen Memories of the ‘30s Here’s an idea to take to the picture editor of your newspaper: Let him announce that he wants pictures—snapshots or otherwise—of local women who were girls in the ’30s—the period of “The Group’”—as a sort of “Remember When” feature! What he —or she—is particularly after, he explains, are pictures of girls in the dresses of “The Group” period. For an added kick, he can run this as a “‘guess who?” feature, calling upon the public to identify prominent women around town today from photos of them as girls in the ’30s. Retrace Groups Every school has its “Groups” — tight little coteries of girls who got together through a common interest. How about asking a newspaper feature writer or TV reporter to look up some of these “Groups” of the ’30s and find out what’s become of them? He can get his start by asking school people who were around in the ’30s for leads and then hunt up the members. This could make for excellent newspaper stories with “then and now” pictures, and even a fine TV feature! ‘The Group’ Fashions The fashions of the ’30s are enjoying a considerable revival right now and it may well be that a department or women’s specialty shop will jump at the opportunity of tieing in these fashions with “The Group.” The story takes place in the ’30s, the girls in the picture have complete wardrobes of the period and the stills are great for an enterprising merchandiser looking for a “hook!” It may well be that a display of the current fashions can be called “The Group” or “inspired by “The Group’” chandiser should have little difficulty in matching up garments and the mer from his racks with stills from the picture! This whole thing can well be kicked off with a fashion show— on your stage if conditions will permit—or in the store, and local fashion editors should be acquainted with the connection early! Or, a fashion reporter on a TV station can show some of the store’s garments — or from a number of stores in town — and indicate how they trace back to the ’30s of “The Group”’ via stills! This thing can be made as big as you want to because it’s a natural! Take advantage of this!
