She was vacationing from high school in Dobbs Ferry, New York, which is not far from Rye, where she lives. Had she ever thought of a career on the stage? Well, she once tried out for a role in her school’s drama club but was turned down because, she was _ told, she “had no talent.” That was the end of her thespian career—for the moment, at least.
