How to organize... . JR. SECRET SERVICE Enroll the youngsters in your neighborhood in a “Junior Secret Service” club with Ronald Reagan as honorary commander. Club will help to provide ew a ready audience for the entire series of Secret Service Adventures. Here are six easy steps to complete set-up: 1. ORGANIZATION: Youngsters are invited to join through advance announcements in lobby, publicity stories in local papers, programs, ads and announcements distributed around schools, boys’ clubs, playgrounds, etc. 2. NEWSPAPER COOPERATION: Local paper cooperates by sponsoring group and devoting space to stories and contests for club members. Stories might concern work of local law enforcement agencies. 3. MEMBERSHIP CARDS: Members are given official cards and badges. Reverse side of membership card shows key to secret code (illustrated below). Special announcements written in code are mailed to members of club. Order Mat No. 211 — 30c. 4. CONTESTS: Special contests for members might include the deciphering of special code messages, essays on history and duties of U. S. Secret Service, etc. 5. SPECIAL SHOW: Conduct special Saturday morning showings for club mem bers. Speakers from police, safety and fingerprint bureau address the club. All members are fingerprinted by local police officials. 6. CLUB MAGAZINE: Start a club paper (mimeographed) featuring club activities, gossip concerning club members, contest and publicity stories on “Code of the Secret Service” and coming Secret Service pictures. An adept member of the club might even write some original stories.
