Here’s a resume: Large maps are placed in all merchants’ windows with a line drawn from your town to San Francisco and back, going through all the principal cities. Lines should be marked every 50 miles. Cooperating stores hand out mileage cards with purchase. Every purchase of $1 gets 50 miles. (Amount of mileage to be worked locally.) Cards should be printed to be distributed by clerks. Also get picture plug on all cards. If ’Frisco is 2,000 miles away, then contestants have to buy $40 of merchandise to get there.
