Erect a punching bag with head of Patric Knowles painted on the cover. Invite patrons to: “Step up and take a sock!” JUMBO TELEGRAMS Every branch office of the Western Union will display the jumbo telegram which is inserted in this press book. Have the jumbos imprinted with theatre and playdates. Arrange window and counter displays with scene stills. Other co-operative angles might include: inserts in all incoming telegram envelopes; house-to-house distribution of heralds by messenger boys; banners on bicycles. Wald it please, “LUCKY FOUR” CONTEST: Have photographer visit baseball fields, stadiums, or other places where large crowds gather and “shoot” pictures of sections of the audience. The faces of a group of four are circled and the pictures printed in local paper — one each day. People identifying themselves are awarded passes. CANDID CAMERA PROMOTION: Contest for amateur photography enthusiasts. Picture-snatchers to submit photos giving the best pictorial interpretation of the title — “Four’s a Crowd.” Possibilities of photos with comic treatment is limitless. Stunt should be welcomed by papers as novel feature. Might have camera dealer sponsor the stunt also giving the prizes. Local paper's photo ed acts as judge. PHOTOG IN WINDOW: Siation photographer inside popular merchant's display window. Sign explains that shots of onlookers will be taken through window; their pictures will then be placed on display in theatre lobby.
