Gilt On Tho Gin, Y'Know...
The Al Jolson broadcasts for Shell Oil start in April. He etherizes his songs and comedy every Saturday night, at 9.30 P.M., Eastern Standard Time. It’s a good spot to squeeze in your spot announcements—either before or after the broadcast. Local Shell distributor might be interested in providing posters and other cooperation. It’s worth a trip to find out!

Popular Expressions Contest
For Theatre Programs
For your program why not try a contest on identification of famous personages by their favorite expressions. List should include Al Jolson’s “Mammy,” “Wanna buy a duck?”, “Heigh-HoEverybody,” etc., with contestants writing in identifying names. Another angle would be to award passes to longest list of these type expressions.
Play Stage Shows? Prologues?
Week before picture opens you might arrange for special Go Into Your Dance stage feature. Act to feature dances of various countries or of various times leading up to fast modern dance with hit songs from picture. Might also be used as prologue.
