Take advantage of this fact by using this memory contest based on six of her previous screen vehicles which, in addition to being a suitable stunt for your local newspaper, affords a great build-up for ‘“‘GOODBYE AGAIN.”’ HERE IS THE PLAN:—Scenes from six former Blondell starring pictures are included in this contest. The idea is to have readers name the correct titles of the picture from which the particular scene is taken and to submit a short letter describing the type of character portrayed by Miss Blondell in each picture. All correct titles and letters to be sent at the end of the contest to the contest editor or to your theatre (as you decide) no later than a set date. As an added lure, offer a number of attractive prizes secured from cooperating merchants or cash to be awarded to the first 5 persons sending in the complete set of correct answers. Award guest tickets to the next 25 best answers. This contest is planned to run for six days, using one scene daily, thus giving you several days of advance and current publicity. Launch the contest a few days in advance of your opening of “GOODBYE AGAIN” announcing the con test a day before you break the first picture. Start the contest off with the suggested daily publicity stories given you and follow through with similar stories until the end of the contest.
