Tom Geraghty, who is given credit for the screen story, has elaborated on many of Ed’s most laughable situations to an extent that rocks the house with mirth. The title role is played by Arthur Lake, who gives the outstanding performance of his career and one that should go far toward making him one of the screen’s most popular comedians. The leading feminine role—that of Lillums—is played by Mary Brian; while Alice White in a ee the part of Giggles, the school vamp, is great.
