After taking farewell of Lillums he is informed by his Grandfather that they will have to leave the farm on account of the new dam that has cut off the water-supply. They go to live with Harold’s Aunt in Covina. AROLD’S city cousin, Horace, is ashamed of him and refuses to introduce him at school, but Harold by dint of his quick wit and good humor manages to make speedy headway, especially through the encouragement of Giggles, the school vamp. Harold gets Lillums jealous when at a fraternity initiation he kisses Giggles. Horace takes this opportunity to make love to Lillums, precipitating a fight with Harold which ends with Harold being worsted. At TER surmounting numerous difficulties, Harold manages to get a place on the school football team. Practice is suspended, however, for the school play, sponsored by Horace. Harold succeeds in getting the faculty to discard this in favor renee White background; figure of girl composed of red skirt, white: sweater, red hat; figure of boy, yellow slicker, of a school movie, and he writes the scenario. The climax is the blowing up of the dam at the head of Grandfather’s farm. Harold proposes to do this with firecrackers, but unknown to anyone a vindictive lad called Goofy replaces the fire-crackers with dynamite and the dam is blasted to smithereens, with Harold effecting a courageous rescue of Lillums. Believing Harold to blame, the police order a warrant out for his arrest and he escapes in Leaping Lena, his Ford car. I T is not antil the big football game of the year is being played that Harold, Covina’s star player, is found and brought back. The films that Harold has shot of the dam disaster show that Goofy is the guilty one and Harold is permitted to enter the game. In full sight of Lillums, Giggles kisses Harold, much against his will. As a result, Lillums gives him the cold shoulder and Harold, disheartened, plays without spirit. His team is losing when Giggles urges Lillums to forgive Harold. She relents and sends him a note telling him she loves him. Spurred on by this declaration Harold sweeps his team to sensational victory and himself to Lillum’s love. INSERT CARD
