Here's What You Do: Arrange with the Junior League, college sororities and other young women's groups to sponsor a "Juke Girl Jamboree" at midnight in front of your theatre, hotel or night club. Juke boxes (automatic phonographs) are to be promoted locally and placed about so that the music can be heard. The young women who act as hostesses for the night are known as "juke girls" and they dance with any gentleman—the cost of each dance being the purchase of a war savings stamp. If desired, “lucky number" stamps or bonds can also entitle purchaser to guest admissions. The night of opening all "juke girl" hostesses attend showing in a group accompanied by soldiers, sailors or marines on furlough as "blind dates" for the girls. Newspapers, radio cover the event in advance and current, HIT THE JUKE FANS . ... Here’s a trio of ideas to hustle the hep cats along to your theatre: AD MAT MAKES SWELL JUKE BOX DISPLAY Print a quantity of display cards from ad mat 40! on page || and place them on all juke boxes around town. Also print ad at top of card and list current juke box hit tunes below. This type of display can be planted at tables, on counters or wherever store or club wishes to draw attention to juke box tunes. GIVEAWAY TEASER QUIZ FOR THE GALS Small cards as illustrated below can be prepared locally and placed on all juke boxes around town! Back of card carries ad imprint and theatre credits. Display sign reads "For Juke Girls Only." ARE YOU A “JUKE GIRL”? Answer “Yes” or “No” to the following: Yes No I'm a one-man woman. & .
