My guess is that the two-and-a-half pounds of caviar I ate today cost the company just about as much money as my whole salary check.” Warner Bros. put on its imagination-cap and conjectured what might conceivably happen were a woman to be elected President of the United States, providing that woman is chic, intelligent and conscientious, and also the wife of a successful business-executive and the mother of two growing-up children. A stroll through the Warner studio White House would give one access to sets which duplicate the White House’s first-floor East room, corridor, entry and diningroom. For the second-floor, there were sets of the oval living-room, the President’s and the First Lady’s bedrooms and the corridor. For the Executive Wing, there were sets for the President’s office, the Cabinet Room and the corridor. The Southern Portico was also reproduced, as was the entrance gate of the White House.
