Theatre in “My Past,” the Warner Bros. and Vitaphone screen version of the sensational novel of the same name, was born in Dallas, Texas, and began her stage career when ten weeks old, her parents both being professionals. She played with various stock companies all through her childhood. (Biographical) When five years old she worked at} ANOTHER DEL RUTH the Belasco Theatre for Oliver Morosco; a few years later with Belasco and Burbank stock in Los Angeles with Fay Bainter, Marshall Neilan, Hobart Bosworth and others. This continued until her early teens. She was educated by private tutors and at the Sacred Heart Convent in Los Angeles and began her film career at thirteen. She was leading lady for the comedy company producing tworeelers starring Harold Lloyd. Her big break came when Cecil B. De Mille selected her for an important part in “Male and Female.” She was co-starred with Richard Dix in “Sinners in Heaven” and _ shortly afterward placed at the head of her own company. Among the pictures in which she has appeared are “Senorita,” “She’s a Sheik,” “Swim, Girl, Swim,” “The Fifty-Fifty Girl,’ “Hot News” and “What a Night.” Then along came the talk-, ies, and with the release of @ RKO’s “The Delightful Rogue,” “Rio Rita” and “Dixiana,” she wase acclaimed ash one of the great persons of the talking ‘screen. In “My Past” she plays the part of an alluring actress beset by many lovers.
