THE S*?PRY (Not For Publication) Ronald Reagan, a brilliant biochemist with a fatal illness, comes to Florida and rents a beach house owned by Viveca Lindfors. She has been saddened by the death of her husband during the war, and is haunted by his memory. The two are drawn together through their mutual emotional problems. Osa Massen, Viveca’s predatory sister, tries to ensnare Ronald, but meets with little success. One night Reagan entertains at dinner. A hurricane strikes with terrific force and at the height of the storm, Osa, who has turned up uninvited, tells the party about Ronald’s illness. This upsets Ronald to a point where he wants to end it all, and goes to his room for his revolver. Viveca follows and waits outside the door. Finally the door opens and’ Ronald comes out. He looks long at Viveea, the woman he loves, and both now know that they have conquered their fears.
