THE STORY
Not happy with being just a housewife, beautiful Alexis Smith is eager to return to the music store she managed for her husband, Zachary Scott, while he was in the army. Meanwhile, Scott has already promised the job to a former WAC officer, Veda Ann Borg. Trapped into giving his wife the job instead, Scott dates Veda to explain. Alexis sees her husband with the former WAC, and suspecting an overseas romance, starts a divorce suit. The harassed Scott tries to convince Alexis of his innocence, at the same time being hounded by Douglas Kennedy, Veda’s estranged husband, who accuses Scott of being a homewrecker. He also follows up with a couple of kayo punches. At this point Alexis
and Scott realize their mistake—they reconcile in a gay closing scene and
resolye never to be separated again.
