Maroc comes, sees the G-Men and leaves. But the wedding is real since the minister was not told of the switch in bridegrooms. Laird, in spite of Judith’s antagonism, takes her on a ‘‘honeymoon’’ to attract Maroc and to protect her from him. While he is out of their hotel room, Maroe steals in through a window. Judith goes with him to save Laird, who is about to return. Maroe and his henchman, Louie, take her to a small hotel hideout to wait for a small boat to Cuba. Judith, in an effort to escape cuts down the telephone wire near’ her bedroom and ties a note to it, which linemen phone to the Department of Justice. Laird and Ferguson, disguised as drunken fishermen, invade the hotel. Maroe gets wise and a gun battle ensues in which the G-Men are captured. Maroc takes them and Judith to the boat anchored nearby, but police. have captured the crew. Maroc is killed in an effort to escape. Judith and Laird’s mutual dislike has changed to love through the harrowing experiences they shared and they decide to let their unusual marriage stand as the ‘‘real thing.’’ Nick Grinde Seveen Play OY... ccc cn.
