There, Clio meets Clint Maroon (GARY COOPER), a cowboy from Texas. An immediate and intense mutual love springs up. Clio goes to Saratoga Springs intending to ensnare Van Steed into mar riage. Clint makes an agreement with Van Steed and fellow financiers to clear the Saratoga Trunk Line from a rival combine. The Texan and his gang save the Trunk Line through spectacular fighting. Back in Saratoga Springs, Clio attends the season’s brightest event, the costume ball. Van Steed is about to announce their engagement when Clint appears.
