“SIT TIGHT’—A ee Bros. and Vitaphone Production YOUR KEYNOTE IDEA This is one of the really timely ideas. It has to do with the general business depression. Every one who sees it, and it should be put in every imaginable place, will get a bit of a boost. It plays up the thought that better times are on the way, and it also plays up the fact that “Sit Tight” is a play which will lift anyone out of the dumps. It is a winner any way you look at it. Start using it two weeks before the picture is due. Here it is. Have cards, five by eight inches in size, made. Use yellow cards and let the type be deep crimson. These are to be used in windows. Have others made of half the size for use in restaurants, stores, and in every available space. These cards may be tacked on telephone poles, fences, vacant houses, construction jobs, and will get all the town talking about the picture before it comes. They may be made up as blotters and distributed in homes and business places. The smaller ones may be made on flimsy paper and used as throwaways. Set them up as follows, being careful that nothing overshadows the) print on it the following: title “Sit Tight.” GOOD LUCK IS HEADED YOUR WAY SIT TIGHT Winnie Lightner and Joe E. Use doctor’s prescription blanks as throwaways. Place in envelopes on which, in red, are the words “VISIT OUR HEALTH INSTITUTE — (Signed) Dr. Winnie Lightner, Jojo, the Tiger.” Fold the prescription blank and “PRESCRIPTION for blues, bad business, lassitude, loss of appetite, low spirits, and general cussedness. ANAGRAMS What They Are: “Anagrams” is a highly amusing game, a great interest-getter, with a strong appeal to the masses. -Participants are given a word and a letter of the alphabet which, mixed together will form an entirely new word. As an incentive the definition of the new word is given. How To Use Them:— Place them with your local newspaper. They make an excellent contest and a great circulation builder. The answers will be mailed to your box-office. What They'll Do For You: Get you unlimited publicity. Put you in solid with your paper. Give you an extensive mailing list. Used as a program feature you will get a powerful reader interest as well as a larger list. By offering one ticket only to a winner, making it valid only on your specified date (your weakest day), the winner will undoubtedly have a friend accompany him; thus by offering say, fifty passes, you boost your weakest performances.
