Lew Stein of Newark’s Stanley pulled this on an earlier Francis film: He promoted a few dozen cardboard mats used by photographers for studio photos, and mounted his own 8 by 10’s on ’em. This mounting job enabled him to crash ‘better store’ windows that demanded more than just a still in the window. Photographer received benefit of having his name in the corner of each mat.
