increase to such an extent she is unable to meet them without going to her husband. Because of his jealously she is afraid to tell him.
Anne finally lays her troubles before Brooks’ sister, Portia, who tells Anne that if she can get Maurice out of the country she will see to it that he does not get a passport to return, he being a foreigner. Anne arranges to go to Cuba, knowing that Maurice will follow her.
Her husband thinks she is planning some clandestine affair and engages Davis, a detective, to watch her. Davis is a fine looking man and popular with women and it is part of his job to test Anne and see if she will make love to him. Davis is to wire Brooks when he has made his corquest, who then plans to go to Cuba and catch the two in each other’s arms.
Anne does everything she can to keep away from Davis, although she is greatly attracted to him. He in turn actually falls in love with her. Anne finally is persuaded into spending considerable time with Davis. He wires Brooks to come to Havana and eatch Anne in the trap.
At the last moment, however, he is unable to go through with the scheme, and tells Anne he has been spying on her. After confessing that he is genuinely in love he leaves her to meet her husband to inform him she is straight.
After talking to Brooks, Davis goes to Anne’s room to say goodbye. He finds Maurice there demanding money. Anne runs to him for protection. Davis tells Maurice that Brooks is coming to the room and tries.to get him out, but Brooks arrives before he can go. Davis pushes Maurice out on a balcony just as Brooks enters.
Anne deliberately walks over to Davis and puts her arms around him. She tells her husband that this is what he has paid to find so she will deliver the goods. She finally convinces Brooks that his scheme has killed all her love for him.
Maurice, who attempts to crawl down the balcony on a vine, falls and is killed. Anne is left a widow, her marriage to Brooks being null beeausé her divorce from Maurice had never been completed.

SALES ANGLES AND CREDITS
Big Star Merger Puts Sales Punch in “Keyhole”
Boxorrice returns on ‘The Keyhole” will
be heavily influenced by how effectively you put across the star combination of Francis and Brent. Here is one
of the great star mergers of the season—enough in itself
to put “The Keyhole” high up in the list of Warner Bros.
gross-getters.
PrinciPAL story feature is Brent’s role of a private detective hired by rich husbands to compromise
their wives. That’s your cue to exploitation and
copy.
Tu ERE’S enough sensational stuff in the story
to support ad copy as “hot’’ as you desire. Romance, _
novelty and class should, however, prove the most saleable stuff for the majority of houses. Suit your campaign to your theatre policy and you can’t go wrong as the picture will support every statement made in this Merchan
dising Plan.
