(First Day) New Clue Club To Be Formed Here By Mystery Fans
The organization of the Clue Club, an association of mystery fans, has been announced by the Seahaseaaiter Sages ore Theatre.
The Clue Club will bring together many men and women who find in mystery stories, whether in books or on the screen, a mental stimulus, as well as a means of relaxation.
The first meeting of the Clue Club will be held in the near future, at which time the entire program of activities will be outlined.

Theatre, who is acting as temporary chairman, states that the Club will hold regular meetings, at which mystery crimes, both in real life and in fiction, will be discussed; that many contests with awards for mystery solutions will be held, and that each member will be eligible to compete in the Black Mask Magazine Mystery Story contest, which features all expense paid tours to Bermuda as prizes.
In addition to this, the ............ ih Sok eee Theatre will set aside a number of choice seats for the exclusive use of Clue Club members at each showing of Clue Club sponsored mystery pictures.

According to ‘Mrere ke. ; Clue Clubs are springing up in all sections of the nation, and the total membership is expected to soon include hundreds of thousands of men and women. Statesmen of national as well as local prominence have joined, and the list of honorary members includes not only a number of the country’s greatest motion picture stars, but men in high positions in the police ranks of both the nation, the various states and the greatest cities.
A national convention is being planned.

Theatre last night, when they witnessed the first of the Warner Bros. murder thrillers released under the insignia of the Clue Club, ‘‘The White Cockatoo,’’ but formed a local chapter of the Clue Club, elected officers, and decided to hold a ‘‘story telling NISht? 2e ole ee eee (date)

‘We have met for a double purpose. Our own amusement and entertainment, and in fulfillment of our patriotic duty to uphold President Roosevelt in his battle against crime and criminals.
‘‘Clue Club is primarily interested in mystery stories and four of the country’s most famous authors of mystery novels have already had their pictures approved by the Club. They are Earl Stanley Gardner, author of the ‘Perry Mason’ thrillers; Dashiell Hammett, S. S. Van Dine and Mignon G. Eberhart, who wrote ‘The White Cockatoo.’
‘‘Their future pictures, as well as those of other worthy writers, will be released under the insignia of the Clue Club, which will also discuss mystery books as well as real crimes.
‘All Clue Club pictures will be: shown. at the -.....:c2.0...45 Theatre, and in addition there will be many other activities.
