The story is a brilliant drama of high society with a dynamic court room scene, in which a beautiful society girl confesses to sins of which she is not guilty. She drags her honor in the dust, in order to save her brother from the electric chair and her married sister from a scandal.
There is an unusually strong cast with Miss Bennett supported by Neil Mamilton, who although he is in love with her, is forced to prosecute her brother on a murder charge, and compelled to listen to the story of her dishonor from her own lips.
The picture is taken from the popu lar novel by Marion Dix and Jerry Horwin and deals with a rich and proud family whose name is dragged through the mire of a scandalous criminal court battle.

The background and settings are particularly lavish, representing wealthy homes, magnificently fur nished apartments of wealthy clubmen and country estates of the elite social set. There is a wealth of beautiful gowns, Miss Bennett herself hay ing twenty-two complete changes. Archie Mayo directed.

quence of murder and her married sister from scandal. When she asserts that she is guilty of indiseretions of which she is actually innocent, in the very presence of the man she loves, there is a suspense that holds the audience enthralled.
This is but one of the smashing climaxes in a picture that is filled with dynamic situations and dramatic sequences. The development in the character of a frivolous society girl into that of a woman who is able to make the utmost sacrifice of her honor and her love, is approached naturally and with a skill that justifies the revolutionary change.
Neil Hamilton, who made such a success in ‘The Sin of Madeline Clau det,’? ‘‘The Wet Parade’’ and ‘‘What Price Hollywood,’’ takes the part of the young lover who is foreed to prosecute a murder charge against the brother of the woman he loves, und to listen to her confession of guilt. He shows the polish of a fin ished actor in the way he handles this leading role.
Others in the cast include such well known players as Helen Vinson, who is doing excellent work in pictures since her advent to the sereen from the stage; Gavin Gordon, who made a hit playing opposite Greta Garbo in **Romanee;’’ Allen Vincent, Walter Walker, Roscoe Karns, Alan Mowbray and Hale Hamilton. All handle their parts in the splendid manner, born of long experience on both stage and screen,
The story is realistic and dramatic in the extreme, and gives Miss Ben nett a fine opportunity to display her ability as an emotional actress. In the early scenes she romps through the picture as a harum scarum society girl with a grace and charm that is enchanting.
Being a drama of society, the background is most lavish while the feminine costumes are calculated to set the heart of every woman afiutter.
