Dennis Morgan and Jack Carson arrived in Milwaukee for the nationallytouted world premiere at the Warner Theatre aboard a yacht embarked from Great Lakes, Ill., escorted by the U. S. Navy. In the flotilla escorting the film stars were 25 Coast Guard Reserve vessels, four Coast Guard cutters, a Navy training ship and an umbrella of 25 Navy planes, all under the command of Admiral G. D. Murray of Great Lakes. Upwards of 100,000 persons witnessed the arrival at the local waterfront! All this to start the wildest spree of civic celebration in Milwaukee's history ... and all covered by newspapers across the country! Whit-a Colebstton f Program of events around the clock included: Flotilla of 30 U. S. Navy vessels and private yachts accompanied by a drone of Navy planes arrive in Milwaukee. Mammoth P. A. System announces festivities to crowd estimated at over 100,000. Dennis Morgan, Jack Carson, Admiral G. D. Murray, his aides and party, disembark and proceed by motorcade from Memorial Drive up Wisconsin Avenue through the main streets of Milwaukee. Party is officially welcomed by a Mounted Police escort, Navy Color Guard, a 50-piece Navy Band, a platoon of 160 marching bluejackets and a series of floats on which the stars rode, talking to their friends along the line of procession over a mobile sound system. 1:00 P.M.: 4:00 P.M.: 6:30 P.M.: 8:45 P.M.: 9:15 P.M.: Private luncheon for the "Two Guys From Milwaukee" and the hordes of newspapermen covering the event for newspapers and wire services across the country. Cocktail party for dignitaries and press. "Two Guys From Milwaukee" Banquet at the Schroeder Hotel, attended by Governor, Mayor, Admiral and 500 prominent state and city dignitaries. Personal appearance of Dennis Morgan and Jack Carson on specially built platform in front of the Warner Theatre. Personal appearance of stars on stage preceding world premiere showing. 12:30 A.M. Private supper party in honor of stars by Uhlein family in Schlitz Brown Bottle. The Morning After: Dennis Morgan vs. Jack Carson at a "Two Guys From Milwaukee Golf Match" at North Hills Country Club. Loser chauffeured winner throughout the city in a 1910 de luxe Buick.
