Tickets go to the one showman whose campaign for the Clue Club is judged the best. The Rules Are Simple: Two round trip cruises from New York to Bermuda will be awarded by Warner Bros. Pictures, Inc., to the Theatreowner or Manager submitting the best all-around promotion campaigns on the Clue Club series, ending two months after release of the twelfth issue. Mention of the Bermuda Trips via Furness-Bermuda Lines offered through the Clue Club Contest in Black Mask Magazine must be made in conjunction with the campaigns on at least six of the Clue Club productions. All phases of the campaign including activities of the Clue Club, advertising, publicity, lobby display, tie-ups, and other exploitation will be considered in determining the award. Proofs of advertising, tear sheets of publicity, photos and samples of exploitation stunts must be submitted by. contestants wherever possible. These should be accompanied by a brief typewritten description of the campaign as a whole. Campaigns based on Warner Bros. Merchandising Plans for this picture are as eligible for the awards as are original ideas. Contest begins with release of ‘The White Cockatoo’ and all entries must be received not later than two months following official release date of the twelfth Clue Club production. The judges will be Major Albert W. Warner, VicePresident of Warner Bros. Pictures, Inc., W. Epes Sargent, Exploitation Editor of ‘Variety,’ and Cyrus F. Judson, General Passenger Agent of the Furness-Bermuda Line. Their decision will be final. Warner Bros. cannot be responsible for the return of any material submitted.
