$10,000 1N CASH PRIZES neni sowmanstiag PT f SERVE with showmanship A showmanship Lrwith showmanship HONOURING 25 YEARS OF INSPIRED LEADERSHIP IN FAMOUS PLAYERS National Drive Captain DAN KRENDEL ABOUT ULYSSES We have now had some experience with this attraction ... and it proves something to us. Those of our men who really went after it, and sold it according to the plan developed here in the office, did terrific business, Those who slapped an ad in their paper, and let it go at that ... died. Just as simple as that. Another thing we noticed ... In every successful engage-~ ment, the manager did a real selling job on his students ... and in this connection it is suggested that for the best results, you ought to use a special hard ticket, to be distributed to students by their teachers. This ticket to be exchanged at the boxoffice for a regular student admission ticket, Of course it means contacting the principals and teachers in your local high schools ... but you'll find that most of them are very receptive to the plan, and will co-operate, Incidentally, Bud Barker has a good mat for use on the special ticket. eX oXeXeXa DOES YOUR CASHIER KNOW THE ANSWERS? Does the gal in your boxoffice know what!s coming to your theatre in the next few weeks ... and in what sequence? Or does she waste valuable time, and cause untold annoyance to potential patrons by keeping them on the phone while she tries to locate you for the information? Why don't you make it easy for her? All you have to do is provide her with a copy of your booking sheet. I'll bet she'll even be happy to type it out herself ... Try it, won't you? It!11 give her more time to sell tickets too. oXeoXeXoXo YOUR TEAR SHEETS A lot of tear sheets land on my desk during a week .., in support of claims of co-operative displays ... stories etc. in your daily paper. Unless you mark the item you want me to see, clearly, and preferably with a soft red pencil, I have to wade through columns of reading matter before I finally find what I'm after, Have a heart guys ... MARK YOUR TEAR SHEETS, so I won't spend half my time trying to figure out what it is you want me to see ... huh? How about it?
