CLAROSTAT CONTROLS
Speed Controls
Clarostat Compression type Rheostat gives micrometric control of speed. Has been adopted as standard equipment by some of the largest manufacturers of portable projectors.
Made in various resistance ranges from 10 ohms up to 10 megohms, and in five sizes up to 250 watts.
Volume Controls
Clarostat Volume Controls are absolutely quiet, long lived units, with special alloy contactor and windings to avoid thermal e.m.f. Made in simple potentiometer or dual and triple units for constant impedance work to meet exacting needs of sound industry. Insulated or grounded shaft and bushing, as desired.
New model Graphite Element Potentiometers for use where extra high resistances are required. These have the revolutionary Geared Roller Contact for long life and silent operation.

SOUND L E. VILLI
• With Weston Model 571 OUTPUT METER, correct sound volume in the auditorium may be determined from the projection booth.
• Model 571 measures the voltage output of sound apparatus — at speakers or any other convenient point. Notation may be made of the voltage outputs that produce the correct sound level for different capacity audiences. After this, the sound level may be regulated reliably and definitely from the booth by checking voltage output.
• Variations of voltage output— a possible breakdown — are immediately indicated with Model 571. This warning enables a change-over to the reserve circuit without annoyance to the audience.
• Besides, Model 571 OUTPUT METER is used for checking the relative volume of speakers, for determining the relative gain of tubes, and for determining fader settings.
• Developed to solve a practical problem that confronts every projectionist, Weston's 571 OUTPUT METER helps satisfy critical audiences. Its moderate price brings it within reach of every one interested in quality sound reproduction.
