THOMAS W. MOORE Vice President in Ciiarge of Programming and Talent Thomas W. Moore, ABC-TV vice president in cliarge of programming and talent since IVIarch, 1958, was formerly vice president in charge of sales, having resigned his post as general sales manager for CBS-TV Film Sales in 1957. He had been with the CBS film organization for five years, as an account executive on the West Coast since 1952 and as general sales manager in New York since 1956. Moore was born in Meridian, Miss, and was educated at Mississippi State College and the University of Missouri. His communications career started with his post as classified advertising manager with the Meridian Star. After serving as a naval aviator from 1941 to 1945, Moore became vice president in charge of advertising and public relations for the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles. He lives in Darien, Conn, with his wife and two children. JAMES G. RIDDELL Vice President in Charge of Western Division James G. Riddell was elected vice president in charge of the Western Division in February, 1959. He is a native of Glasgow, Scotland,, and came to the United States at an early age. He entered the broadcasting industry in 1931 at Detroit with Station WXYZ. After successive promotions he was named general manager of the station when it was purchased by ABC in 1946. In 1950 he became president and general manager of WXYZ, Inc. Riddell was instrumental in launching WXYZ-TV, which pioneered in daytime operations. Mullen was appointed vice president in charge of television sales in late March, 1958. Formerly head of ABC-TV's Detroit Sales Division, he joined the network's Sales Department in May, 1955. Before joining ABC-TV, Mullen was eastern sales manager for John W. Loveton Productions; account executive with Trans-Film, Inc. and Cappel MacDonald & Co.; and was associated with the William Morris Agency and the CBS Television Network. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II with the rank of lieutenant colonel and was executive officer for the Armed Forces Radio Service. Mullen lives in Port Washington, Long Island with his wife and son. 749
