NBC TELEVISION NETWORK iU=5J=553J=^ WALTER D. SCOTT Executive Vice President, Television Network Walter D. Scott was appointed executive vice president, television network, in February, 1959. Before his election as head of the television network, Mr. Scott had been vice president, television network sales. An executive with more than 20 years service in NBC, Mr. Scott joined the network's sales department in 1938. He was named eastern sales manager in 1949, and in February, 1951, was promoted to New York radio network sales manager. In November, 1952, he was appointed to the new post of administrative sales manager. He held this position until he was elected vice president and national sales manager, television network, in December, 1955. He was named vice president, television network sales, in January, 1958. Before joining NBC, Mr. Scott served in the sales department of Hearst Radio, Inc., and before that on the advertising staff of the Daily Oklahoman and Times. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. P35=35=55=3y=55=35^ DON DURGIN Vice President, Network Sales Don Durgin, who was appointed vice president, television network sales, in February, 1959, first joined NBC in 1949 as assistant to the manager of advertising and promotion for NBC Spot Sales. In 1951, he joined the ABC Television Network as a sales presentation writer, subsequently holding several positions there until he was elected vice president in charge of the ABC Radio Network in November, 1955. Returning to NBC in March, 1957, he became vice president in charge of sales planning for the television network. He was appointed vice president, national sales manager, television network sales, in January, 1958, holding that position until he was named to his present post. He is a summa cum laude graduate of Princeton University and a graduate of New York University Law School. — ^— ^— ^— ^— ^^^— ^-^— 'k^^^^^— ^— ^— ^"-k^^^—^—^^i^^— ^— ^—^^^— ^^ DAVID LEVY Vice President, Programs and Talent David Levy, vice president, programs and talent, television network, was vice president and associate director of the radio and television department of Young & Rubicam, Inc., before he joined NBC in April, 1959. With more than 20 years of experience in creative programming, Mr. Levy is spearheading the network's expansion in the areas of talent and creativity. At Young & Rubicam, he wrote, directed and supervised many of the agency's radio shows, and in 1947 entered television, becoming the agency's first television supervisor. He became vice president in charge of talent and new programs in August, 1950, and in April, 1958, was named associate director of the radio and television department. He also served on the agency's plans board for several years. Mr. Levy is also a successful author of television plays and short stories. He was graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Finance and Commerce. 768
